Espinhosos 2012
White Wine | Regional Minho | 13.5% VOL
The Espinhosos 2012 is a white wine with complexity and structure. Great minerality and hints of tropical fruits are accompanied by the depth and striking character of Chardonnay, which joins the Avesso. With body but with a persistent freshness it is fruity on the palate with a long finish.
The weather that marked greatly this year led to a series of delays. The intense and prolonged cold this Winter, followed by a cool, wet Summer delayed the ripening significantly. The grape harvest was made in cool weather and the musts fermented in stainless steel vats. This harvest yielded a limited production of high quality.
Sustainable agricultural practices and a philosophy of minimal intervention in the cellar continue our tradition of making natural wines of terroir in the Vinho Verde region.
